THINK of me as a WEBMASTER with a DESIGN addiction!

I believe Expo 86 in Vancouver BC possibly could have started my fascination with multimedia. As a youngster, I had never seen anything as intense as a laser light show. "It rocked my world!", and I was inspired. As I grew older, I often played around on my family's computer either creating graphics & animation or experimenting with primitive internet communication technologies.

After a university Arts Degree in Philosophy left me searching for the meaning of life, I decided to use my computer skills and started to design for the "new" Internet in the early 1990's. I spent years working in-house for companies such as Rocky Mountain Bicycles, Race Face Components, and VeloNews cycling magazine, and then turned freelance in 1996.

What do I do?

I specialize in designing corporate visual communications including websites, advertising, and brand identity materials.

I like to work closely with my clients to design solutions that fit their business activities, objectives, and budget. Because I'm a freelance designer, I offer personal service and honest advice. I answer my own phone and offer solutions that are custom-made based on my 12 + years of experience in the industry.

My client list includes many award-winning companies including two of "Canada's Best Privately Managed Companies", as judged by the National Post, and two other individuals that were Kootenay Business Magazines' "Business People of the Year" winners. I am also a founding board member of Tech Village, and I taught "Website Management and Internet Design" at Selkirk College. I've also had the privilege of designing with many other top designers and agencies in Canada.

Over the past 12 years, I've designed many multimedia websites using technologies such as XHTML, PHP, Flash, CSS, MP3, Quick Time, and Javascript. And I've developed database driven e-commerce websites to allow companies to sell their products and services online. In total, I've developed over 50 corporate websites and continue to evolve with the ever-changing Internet.
